Recipe for homemade cheese garlic bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 French baguette or Italian loaf
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette or Italian loaf in half lengthwise and place both halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic butter mixture, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is toasted.
  7. Once done, remove the cheese garlic bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  8. Slice the bread into individual portions and serve hot.
