Crispy lemon pepper fried chicken tender

Ingredients
Chicken tender 500g/17.5oz
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Paprika 1 tsp
Black pepper ½ tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Egg 2
Plain flour 4 tbsp
Cornflakes 2-3 cups

Lemon Pepper Sauce
Butter 1 tbsp
Garlic 2 cloves
Lemon juice 4 tbsp
Lemon zest 1 tsp
Honey 4 tbsp
Crushed Chilli 1 tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Crushed black pepper ½ tsp
Water 3 tbsp
Cornstarch slurry ( ¼ tsp cornstarch + 3 tbsp water ) Instructions
Combine chicken tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, egg, and plain flour. Mix it well.
Crush the cornflakes into small pieces.
Dredge the chicken tenders in the cornflakes and coat each piece well.
Preheat the air fryer to 180C/350F. Spray cooking oil over the rack. Place the chicken tenders in the oil. Air fry for 12-13 minutes or until crispy. ( Flip halfway through and spray more oil. )
Heat the pan to low-medium heat. Melt butter and saute garlic and chillies.
Reduce the heat to low. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, water, salt, pepper, and cornstarch slurry. Stir well until the sauce is slightly thick and glossy. Transfer the sauce to the bowl.
Serve the sauce as a dip or coat each fried chicken tender in it. Sprinkle with some finely chopped parsley. Enjoy! #crispy #lemonpepper #friedchicken #tender #airfryer #recipes
